## Why we're confident the file is from VectorStock

The CHORUS Rig branding folder contains a watermarked preview AVIF file `glossy-red-lips-open-mouth-vector-21343181.avif` whose numeric ID matches the URL exactly. CEO confirmed source 2026-04-07 in chat. The actual `lip-asset.png` used in the pptx may be either (a) the unwatermarked preview that VectorStock serves to logged-in users for design comping, or (b) a digitally-cleaned version of the watermarked preview. Either way the licensing requirement is the same: buy one credit and download the official licensed file.

## Other stock previews in `docs/branding/` (rejected, not in use)

These were comp-shopping artifacts from when CEO was evaluating lips photos. **None are in the canonical logo.** Safe to delete after FABA if folder cleanup is desired:

| File | Source | Status |
|---|---|---|
| `istockphoto-1062674742-612x612.jpg` | iStock / Getty Images, asset 1062674742 | Not in use, was rejected (different image style — flat illustrated, not photorealistic) |
| `glossy-red-lips-are-slightly-open-showing-teeth-vector-54035293.avif` | Likely Dreamstime/Shutterstock, asset 54035293 | Not in use |
| `singing-lips-detail-illustrated-89080846.webp` | Dreamstime (visible watermark in file), asset 89080846 | Not in use |

## Fonts

| Font | Source | License |
|---|---|---|
| **Braggadocio** | Microsoft Office (bundled) | Bundled with Microsoft Office. Bitmap renders are fine for distribution; SVG/web font use requires separate license review. |
| **Phosphate Inline** | macOS system | Bundled with macOS. Bitmap renders are fine for distribution. |
| **Manrope** (UI) | Google Fonts | Open Font License (OFL) — free for commercial use |
| **IBM Plex Mono** (UI) | Google Fonts | Open Font License (OFL) — free for commercial use |
| **Barlow** (deck) | Google Fonts | Open Font License (OFL) — free for commercial use |

CHORUS canonical logo variants in `docs/website/chorus-logo-*.png` are bitmap PNGs rendered from `docs/branding/lip-logo.pptx` slide 3. No font files are distributed in the logo asset bundle, so font licensing is not a blocker for shipping the bitmaps.

## Photos used in pitch deck slide backgrounds

All slide background photos in `docs/product/chorus_pitch_deck.html` use Unsplash URLs with the `?w=` query parameter. Unsplash license is free for commercial use, no attribution required (attribution appreciated). Source URLs are inline in the HTML for traceability.
